Victory Over TV Porn!
31 Jan 2012 On 27 Jan ICASA refused TopTV’s license application to broadcast three 24-hour pornographic channels in South Africa. The regulating authority weighed the pay channels right to freedom of expression against the constitutional obligations to protect the dignity of women. I thank God ICASA chose to protect women & children rather than toe the usual liberal line.
The ruling is a decisive victory for righteousness in SA. This is the third consecutive time TV channels planned or broadcasted porn on SA television and were stopped by Christian action. In 2010 DStv proposed a 24-hour porn channel and in 2011 E-tv broadcasted late night porn programs on the free-to-air channel. FPI led campaigns against all 3 channels and prevailed. Christian citizens stood united against this evil and God gave us the victory in every situation.
